Created Europe's largest Design System, boosting design speed 40%.
Vodafone has assembled some of its best designers from its markets around the world to create Source, a complete design system to serve their global market.

Scaling Consistency: How I Led Vodafone's Global Design System Across 6 Countries, Boosting Efficiency by 40%
Vodafone needed a consistent, accessible design language across its global digital products. Each market was operating with slightly different patterns, creating inefficiencies, inconsistent UX, and higher development costs.
I was tasked with leading the creation of a unified design system that could:
- Scale across multiple countries and teams
- Work within diverse technical constraints
- Enable designers and developers to move faster without sacrificing quality
Key Design Decisions
- Accessibility first: All components validated against WCAG 2.1; tested color contrast and scalable typography.
- Flexible components: Created variants that could adapt to market-specific APIs and legacy systems.
- Lean prototyping: By focusing on drag-and-drop, designers cut prototyping time by ~50%.
- Migration to Figma: After 1 year, led the full migration from InVision DSM → Figma for real-time collaboration.
